How does it cool if it uses air?
The control box blows air through the layer on each side. Moving air carries heat and sweat away from your body, the same way a breeze cools you at the beach. It is not an air conditioner, so it won't make the bed colder than the room. Each side has five adjustable cooling levels.
Do I need a special mattress, duvet cover or sheets?
No. Smartduvet goes on top of your current mattress and replaces your comforter. Use your own duvet cover and sheets.
Are there any electronics in the bed?
No. There is only dry circulating air in the bed. All certified heating elements and electronics are in the control box, which makes it much safer than a traditional heated blanket.
How does it make the bed for me?
The patented bed-making technology pumps air into the inflatable layer inside the quilted cover, so it returns to its original shape. Your duvet cover and top sheet are attached to the layer, so they follow along.
Is it noisy?
Heating and cooling are quieter than a small table fan. Bed-making mode is louder, but you can schedule it for when you're away.
Is it washable?
The quilted cover and tube cover go in the washer on a gentle, cold cycle, then hang dry or tumble dry low. Remove the inner layer first; the smart layer itself is spot clean only.
What if I have pets?
Pets love it. The smart layer sits inside the quilted cover, protected from claws. Even with punctures, the layer still makes the bed and works properly, and air simply flows around a pet lying on it.
How long does shipping take?
Orders ship free from the US. Delivery within North America takes 5–7 business days, and overseas deliveries take 7–16 days. Some countries may charge import taxes.
